8th District NOPD Headquarters
The 8th District is the primary NOPD station serving the French Quarter. It’s located in a yellow building with white columns that was originally built in 1827 as the Bank of Louisiana. It later served as the state capitol before becoming the police headquarters in 1985. The station is also supported by COPS 8, a nonprofit that funds gear and education for officers.
Upcoming Shows
The 3rd Annual “Walk for the Cause: Pink in the Quarter,” hosted by the NOPD 8th District, is a free breast cancer awareness and survivor walk!
The outdoor event will last approximately one hour (starting at the 8th Discrict NOPD Headquarter's building at 334 Royal Street), and feature live music by the Kinfolk Brass Band along the route, survivor testimonials, a survivor circle, and light refreshments. Everyone is welcome to attend and support our survivors.
