The premier art museum in the Gulf South and the city's oldest fine arts institution, the New Orleans Museum of Art continues to exhibit, interpret and preserve works of art from ancient to modern times. Its permanent collection is noted for its extraordinary strengths in French and American art, photography, glass, African and Japanese works. NOMA has also developed a unique Arts of the Americas collection, surveying the cultural heritage of North, Central and South America from the pre-Columbian period through the Spanish Colonial era.

10am-4pm | 32nd Annual Japan Fest! 

Celebrate Japanese culture through art, performances, food, and more at this beloved annual event organized by NOMA, the Japan Club of New Orleans, and the Consulate General of Japan in Nashville. 

JSNO will have tables to spread the word about the Society, raffle off traditional and pop Japanese items, and try on Samurai armor courtesy of Japan Foundation, New York.  In addition. there will be Japanese arts and crafts for sale, taiko drums performance, Japanese dance & tea ceremonies, along with plenty of food and drink.  This is an all ages Festival with something for everyone. 

Costumes are welcome, (please see costume guidelines). 

Tickets $10 GA | $5 for NOMA Members | Free for Ages 19 & Under
