Judith Owen

Judith Owen brings her sultry voice and charming Welsh personality to every stage she graces. The daughter of a Covent Garden opera singer, she soon began singing professionally, emphasizing a unique blend of classics and jazz standards, and quickly earned a regular slot at Ronnie Scott’s esteemed London club. Over the course of her career she has recorded over a dozen albums and toured the world backed by top-shelf talent. Owen flavors her shows – as well as any conversation – with her comedic sensibilities and wit. She tours around the world, with homes in several places including New Orleans along with husband Harry Shearer. Her cover of Deep Purple’s “Smoke on the Water” is a radio favorite; her most recent release, “Come On and Get It,” pays homage to female musical trailblazers, including the woefully undersung Nellie Lutcher and Julia Lee. Accompanied by her band, the Gentleman Callers, Owen has toured the world behind the album, selling out at major performance halls.
