From Cultural Tour Consultants:

We are delighted to announce the 2014 Jazz on the French Riviera tour is now open for enrollment! We have revamped our webpage dedicated to this tour to make it more user friendly and visually appealing. Please do check it out.

To be held July 8-16, the 2014 Jazz on the French Riviera Tour will be better than ever!

Deadline to book: February 28, 2014

We are honored to be partnering with New Orleans WWOZ FM 90.7 Radio to offer the 2014 tour. New Orleans jazz musician Matt Lemmler will accompany the tour to share insight on jazz, New Orleans, and life as a jazz musician.  We’ll also have exclusives to offer made possible by a long collaboration with the jazz festivals.

For "people who just love jazz!", the tour includes day passes/preferential seating to the Nice Jazz Festival and Jazz à Juan (Cap d’Antibes) festivals of the French Riviera. The French Riviera has had a love affair with jazz since the 1920s. Juan les Pins is the Sister City of New Orleans and it is for good reason! Sidney Bechet performed and lived here and dedicated compositions to "his" city of Antibes.

Nice Jazz Festival: Nice held its first jazz festival in 1948, making it one of the oldest in the world! After a hiatus of several years when its focus expanded to include pop and world music, Nice Jazz Festival has rediscovered its roots and is back stronger than ever with stellar jazz line-ups bringing in larger audiences each year. In 2013, Esperanza Spalding, Chick Corea, George Benson, Christian Scott, the Gerald Clayton Sextet, Christian McBride, Maceo Parker, and many others performed in the beautiful Massena Gardens setting.

Jazz à Juan Festival: When Juan les Pins (Antibes) hosted its first Jazz à Juan Festival in 1960, all the greats came and returned time and again: Ella Fitzgerald, Louie Armstrong, Ray Charles, Count Basie, Dizzy Gillespie and Miles Davis to name a few. The Pinède Gould stage, nestled amongst the pine trees overlooking the Mediterranean, is to jazz what the Scala is to opera. The line-up remains top-notch with regular visits by Keith Jarrett, Jack DeJohnette, the Avishai Cohen Quartet, Wayne Shorter, Diana Krall, Roy Hargrove, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Herbie Hancock, Marcus Miller, Branford Marsalis. . .

The tour will also include cultural sightseeing by experienced guides to help you discover the beautiful areas of the French Riviera and Provence. We have been offering tours to the French Riviera for the past decade so we know the ideally-located hotels, fine restaurants, best guides, and hidden treasures of the area.
