Whether you’re doing the Mississippi Slow Drag or the New Orleans Shuffle, you’re in the right place. During the program, we’ll be exploring music from the 1920s, when Blues and Jazz were musically closer with Luke Winslow-King, and then continue on into the 30s and 40s where they grew into more distinctive forms with Steve Pistoriusand His Southern Syncopators.

There’s also a stop at two recently opened restaurants. Maurepas Foods in the Bywater does Creole food their way, blending locally grown and influenced dishes with a worldly appreciation. Based on availability and what's in season, their menu is always a fresh, and spicy, surprise. Meanwhile Uptown, Wayfare on Freret Street explores minimalist dishes with bold, exotic, flavors deriving among many global influences, including their specialty Media Dia.
