What is Peace Day?

´╗┐In 1981, The United Nations declared one day of each year would be set apart as a day of peace and global ceasefire to be observed by all member states. In 2001, The International Day of Peace was designated September 21st annually and began to gain worldwide attention through the efforts of dedicated individuals and organizations around the world.

Peace Day LIVE is celebrating this momentous day by calling on all musicians performing the weekend of September 21st to raise their voices in a unified,  unprecedented call for peace from every region of the world, broadcasting LIVE and sending the message to world leaders that the time for peace is NOW.
