Monsters of the Underworld
Monsters of the Underworld opened as a brick and mortar art & vintage space in 2024, as a collaboration between Dicapria and Tess - a queer couple based in New Orleans. Together, they build large scale wearable monsters, maximalist art installations, light art, monster fashion, and more. The space highlights the work of other local artists alongside their own monster fashion and merch, offering design and fabrication build for experiences, events, film, and Theatre production.
Upcoming Shows
4-10pm | Monsters of the Underworld is a local New Orleans art shop, gallery, and workshop space in the Bywater. They feature vintage clothing, handmade costumes, and wearables by local artists and host other community events, art shows, and creative workshops. They also happen to create big monster puppets.
They've got lots of fun stuff planned, including local art vendor pop ups, silly monster activities, a storewide sale, and more surprises.
Come hang out, meet some of the artists, and maybe a monster or two.
