Tickets for An Intimate Evening of Music Education with Leo Nocentelli at Le Petit Theatre (616 St Peter St.) on Saturday, August 27th are $35, $40, and $50. As the major composer of the music that brought fame to the iconic and legendary group, THE METERS, Leo Nocentelli will perform, lecture, demonstrate and engage with the audience the mastery of his guitar and his syncopation techniques that he incorporated in the songs that he wrote for the band. He will also discuss the art of sampling, the music business, publishing, songwriter’s rights, copyrights, and more. As the innovator of Syncopated Funk, Leo Nocentelli composed the Grammy inducted internationally renowned song, "CISSY STRUT", for THE METERS. Nocentelli is one of the most sampled guitarist of all times. In addition to the many accomplishments and achievements with and for THE METERS, Leo has performed, composed, recorded and toured with such great and iconic artists, such as, Peter Gabriel, Paul McCartney, Allen Toussaint, Etta James, Harry Connick, Jr., George Duke, Stanley Clarke, Patti Labelle, Ice Cube, Queen Latifah, Jay Z, and many, many more.
